Carmmunity Goes Racing at GridLife Midwest
The start of the Gridlife season always comes up too fast, regardless of whether your first event is their first event of the year in April, or the Midwest Festival in June. This year was no exception, with the freshly wrapped #55 Carmmunity Spaz Racing Evo 9 hitting the dyno the night before leaving for the event. With a new engine and completely reworked suspension, what would feel like an entirely new car would roll out of the trailer and onto the tarmac of GingerMan Raceway fully untested, driven by myself.
Carmmunity Featured on Banging Gears
The concept of the show was exotics vs tuner cars, which are best? But little did I know they were going to have the likes of Rob Dahm, Adam LZ, Collette Davis, Mr. JWW, Chris Forsberg and dozens of other stars on the show as well.

Spotlight: What’s the deal with the Bricklin SV-1
So I have heard grumblings that people want more American cars and have also heard that people want more imports that aren't Japanese talked about here on Carmmunity. If you've ever wondered if there was ever a Canadian sports car, the answer is yes and this is it. The oh-so-canadian named SV-1 or Safety Vehicle One, famous for being the safest sports car of the 1970s. This might be the ultimate hipster collector car, well maybe the word "collector" is a stretch because these have somehow found a way to be both exceedingly rare, made in small numbers from 1974 to 1975, and still lose value on the collector market. So what the hell is the Bricklin SV-1 and why should you care? What's the deal with the Bricklin SV-1, eh?
Carmmunity 2017: A Year in Review
2017 was an amazing year for the local Carmmunity. MNCEC grew a ton but, more importantly, our community as a whole grew even more. If you want evidence look no further than the record attendance that Ka Teng was able to drum up for Sport Compact Day at Rockfalls, it's in Wisconsin but it's also the closest 1/4 mile strip to the Twin Cities. Anyway, I wanted to take the time to sit back and look at some of the highlights of the year with everyone.
